Can someone explain me this Quicksizer Hana sizing ?

Hi,

I did use quicksizer to have a sizing of a Hana system and this was the result :

I however don't really understand how to interpret the result :

Memory (total) : 199.680 MB -> Is it hard drive memory ?

App. Mem (ABAP) : 39.936 -> Is it RAM or Hard drive ? What is it used for ?

DB Memory : 196.608 MB -> Since hana is "in memory" is it RAM or hard drive ?

Thanks for your feedback,

Dimitri

Hi Dimitri,

Seems like it's for the front-end gateway server.

The results in the screenshot for memory are for RAM, if it's for disk, then it will be labeled as "disk" as you can see in the last column of the screenshot, the total memory means gateway server plus HANA memory, app memory only for the application server, in this case your gateway server, either you're using stand alone installation or embedded, the DB memory is for HANA instance memory, notice it's just for this particular gateway server, not any backend S/4 system.

There's a document from SAP talked about the sizing for S/4HANA
