Is there a way to not allow lead to be converted to account?

Hello! We want our SAP ECC system to be the source of all new accounts. Currently sales are able to create an account from a Lead. I would like to take away this ability and can not figure out how. Any help is appreciated!

Hi Denise,

Actions "Convert to Account & Contacts" are linked with the respective Status of the Leads. So you can deactivate these actions.Check the below steps

• Go to Business Configuration-Implementation Project-Open Activity Lists-Fine-tune-Leads
• Open the Leads and select "STATUS"
• Unchecked the required Actions for the respective status(Check the screen shot)

NOTE:

If a lead is created without the existing account I.e (Using Company),then system will create an Account during the conversion of Lead to Opportunity.So you have to block this functionality also.Make sure Leads is created with an existing account only.
