What is the main use of excise transaction type in sap system(ETT)

Hi,

I need some clarification for about Excise transaction type(ETT).

Why it is used for this ETT and what is the main purpose of ETT.

For suppose sub transaction types is used to for separate G/L accounts posting, that's same wise why it is used ETT for CIN.

Per one Excise Transaction Type, you can post to one G/L Account. For example, for sales, the ETT is DLFC and against this, you can have one G/L Account each for AED, BED & SED. Supposing, your client have some special business process and it should be posted to a different / special excise G/L Account, then in that case, Sub Transaction Type will come into picture through which, you can post the value to special G/L account

Hi Lakshmipathi & All,

I think your saying ETT and Sub-transaction is will effective on for separate new GL a/c posting for diff business process.

So that same what is that main diff b/w ETT and Excise group & Series group in CIN concepts.

AS of my knowledge....

Excise group will allows to maintain separate set of excise registers and excise accounts.

Series group will allows to maintain multiple num ranges for outgoing excise documents. Assign Series group to excise registration id.

I have mainly doubt for all above concepts are same or different ?, if different please mention answer.

Please explain clearly.
