Hi Jeff Wootton,

I am following the below blog wrote by you.

https://www.sap.com/developer/tutorials/sds-rest-publish.html

As you suggested i downloaded and installed Rest Client.

Now i have few doubts.

1) In below what is /1 and how can we check the version.

In hana studio i checked my version for properties. It is showing as 1.00.120.00.1462275491.

Is the highlighted text is the version?

GET http://10.x.x.x:9093/1/version

2)After giving my host followed by /1 followed by version. It is throwing 404 Error.

Could you please guide me if am doing something wrong.

Please find the attached image for the detailed error.postman.png

I think I see the confusion. This call is actually meant to retrieve the version from the server. The only part of the "GET http://10.x.x.x:9093/1/version" command that you need to modify is the host name/IP address (ie: 10.x.x.x"). You don't need to replace "version" as that is the information that you are requesting from the server.

For example, if the IP address of your SWS instance was 1.22.333.444 then you would issue "GET http://1.22.333.444:9093/1/version" as your GET request.

Hi Mantri,

That error would be consistent with the Streaming Web Service not running. Part A of this tutorial: Using the Streaming Web Service (SP11) walks through configuring the Streaming Web Service ("SWS"). You will note that this tutorial was written for SPS 11. HANA Cockpit has evolved since then so some of the screenshots are out of date but the configuration options such as Auto Start Enabled should still be the same. If Auto Start Enabled isn't currently checked, then the SWS will not have automatically started.

Thanks

Rob
