Creating alias of windows user

Hi Experts,

I am using SAP BI Platform support tool enterprise alias manager to create enterprise alias for the Windows AD user.

The process works fine and it displays that the users with alias created message

USER: ******* -- SI_ID: 26730 -- Enabled -- Enterprise alias created!

However in CMC i don't see the alias displayed.

Also from cmc i can not create the alias as it gives me below error.I am using Administrator account so all the rights should be available.Also it is a test system so named and concurrent license available are unlimited.

• You do not have permission to perform the requested action. Please contact your system administrator for details

Please note that i can create a new named enterprise user in the system.

Are you using the Administrator account, and another account with administrator privileges? Creating a new user is one thing, modifying an existing user may be something else permissions wise, and not all administrators are created equal.

So in the account properties you cannot scroll to the bottom and add an alias? Is enterprise even an option? It seems in my system you can only assign enterprise aliases not create from the user properties even with the administrator account

Its the Administrator account.The issue was related to rights of Administrator
