How are Accounts and Contacts kept in sync between SAP hybris C4C and SAP hybris Marketing cloud?

Hi Gurus,

We are working on a project whereby SAP hybris C4C and SAP hybris Marketing Cloud are both integrated and a landing page is hosted on the web and publicly available for users to register.

It seems although SAP Cloud Platform Integration Services currently only allows Business Partners both Accounts and Contacts and their relationships to be replicated from C4C to hybris Marketing cloud unidirectionally.

The hosted website has been designed to consume ODATA services directly into hybris marketing cloud to create Accounts and their Contacts.

Since there is not iflow to replicate these Accounts or Contacts back into C4C the data in hybris Marketing Cloud does not flow through into C4C making C4C out of sync.

What is the recommended approach here? Must we redesign the website such that it consumes SOAP web services into C4C instead or do we need to create a new iflow to enable replication from hybris marketing cloud into C4C OR none of the above?

I am interested to hear what others recommend on here as this is fairly new and information is quite limited online at the moment.

Regards,

JoshT

Hi Josh,

I want to point out our approach of winning new potential customers via Landing Page registration: As soon as there is a new contact registering via the Landing Page, we would create a marketing contact in yMKT. Marketing would run nurturing activities such as including this contact in e-mail campaigns. As soon as this contact would have reached a certain level of readiness, yMKT hands over this contact as a Lead to C4C where the Sales Rep takes over the execution on this lead, e. g. conversion into an opportunity, conversion into a Business Partner.

This means that yMKT-triggered lead creation for net new contacts (= contacts who are not yet known to C4C) do create a new Business Partner in C4C as well. This provides you with the benefit that only qualified contacts are handed over to Sales. You can avoid building up unqualified Business Partner records which Sales may never use for doing business with.

For existing C4C Business Partners, changes in C4C are replicated to yMKT. However, yMKT does not trigger updates for existing Business Partners.

Does this answer question?
