Hi,

You have to restart message either in transaction SMQ1 (outbound) or SMQ2 (inbound).

You can have also scheduled program which will restart them automatically.

Thanks Wojciech

Appreciate the quick response

it would be helpful if you can elaborate a bit more on the reasons for the same and why a restart in SMQ1 or SMQ2 is required

thanks

Hi,

Because messages has stuck inside queues (in XI there is a lot of queues). There can be many reasons why it could happened (e.g. lack of energy, problem with cache). Alos in case of communication type exactly once in order one message can block whole queue.

thanks ...

so is it a restart of the queues ? (and not the message)

Is this a task that xi admins normaly do ?

when i click on the queue it is specifying "not authorized to run the transaction SMQ2"

So i guess i can request the admin for restart of the queue

I assume messages wont get lost during queue restart

thanks

Hi,

Yes, that's restarting of queues. It should be administrator job.

Hi

The queue status has changed now . However I am still finding the message as Scheduled .

Is it required to send hte message again ?

Is there any other reason (other than held in queue ) which can lead to this staus of the message

thanks
