Hi Jessy, in a file to IDoc scenario you need

1) define a user on R3 of type communication

2) create an RFC destination of type 3 from XI to R3 using the user already defined in R3

3) Create a port on XI via transaction IDX1 and associate that RFC destination

4) In IDX2 of XI Import the idoc for that port from R3.

And that's all!

Hope it helps,

Kind Regards,

Sergio

Can we use this Sm59 in Xi?. I know that i can create an RFC destination in

R/3. Is this possible to create an RFC destination in Xi.

Hi Jessy,

Yes, you must use sm59 in Xi to create the RFC destination to R3.

You should create the IDX1 port in the XI system, and an RFC destination in both systems pointing towards the other. You only actually have to create the RFC destination in the XI system if you are doing a file - IDoc scenario, but it may come in handy to have the destinations pointing both ways.
