Lock of users after idle period

Hi to everybody,

we have this need: if a user never logon to the application after 180 days, we have to lock it. This is to be compliant to a new italian law.

Is it possible to do that using a Sap parameter?

Thank you very much!

Gaetano

In newer releases you can use the follwing 2 parameters assuming the 180 days aresince the last password reset:

    login/password_max_new_valid

    login/password_max_reset_valid

In all releases you can do it manually or as a job using report rsusr200.

Otherwise you can also write your own program calling BAPI_USER_LOCK etc.

    Cheers, Julius

I need more information about the use of report rsusr200 in batch mode.

As of NetWeaver 2004s (aka "ERP 2005", aka "ABAP 7.00") that feature is directly available - see SAP" target="_blank">https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/862989">SAP Note 862989.

In previous releases you need to evaluate report RSUSR200 (as mentioned by Julius Bussche - PS: I'm glad that he is back, contributing actively to SDN).

    Cheers, Wolfgang
