Prerequisite check for Solution Manager 7.2 (JAVA_HOME)

Former Member

Hello guys

I am installing Solution Manager7.2 on RHEL7

- when I wanted to do the prerequisite check on the define parameter page

i stuck at SAP System Information where I had to browse path to JAVA_HOME for DB instance, PAS instance, SCS instance

Should have I defined path for JAVA_HOME before the prerequisite check?

and also, on the Software Package Browser page it says to choose the path to SAR archive, to download folder, or to a DVD as package path:

Here I choose path for the Export media1 and 2?

This is my first time to linux, sap, solman everything...

Please help, any advice or clarification would help

Thank you

Hello,

if that's your first time with SAP, then I highly recommend reading some documentation before doing the installation. There is many useful information that can be find using Google.

Please find bellow some initial documents you should be familiar with:

Can you please describe in more details where are you at the moment? I assume you were able to run SWPM? Which option from the tree menu did you choose? Please attach print screens that we could help you.

If you have your Oracle Database installed you should have JAVA binaries deployed as well. But honestly, you can skip this whole prerequisite check - I have not done it for years now.
