hey guys,

Thanks for your replies..i got your points.

My OS HP-UX is assigned with UNIX (Syntax Group) in FILE transaction.

So if i use SY-OPSYS, I will get HP-UX.

This is fine i understood.

My problem is. In future we are planning to use Solaris OS.

In this case what should be the Syntax Group assigned to solaris.

Will it be same UNIX or will change to SOLARIS.

Please confirm.

I will reward points to all.

Thanks.

Hi ambi,

1. It will be SUN (for sun solaris)

2. U can get the list of the syntax group in the fm

SMON_GET_OPSYS_DBHOST

(scroll down in the FM source code to see the IF conditions)

regards,
