Issue with UME and NWAdministration logon's

Hi all

I am facing a problem in logging on to the UME and NetWeaver administration links on the Initial Page of NetWeaver. When i enter the (administrator) User ID and Password and hit enter, the screen refreshes and shows the same screen again. It neither says that the account is locked nor it shows any messages. I deliberately tried a wrong password, then it said that "Authentication failed, wrong password".

I am able to use the same user ID and password to logon to System Info link on the same page and the Visual Admin.

If some one has faced this issue before, please help to resolve the issue

what happen if you go to:

http://server:port/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc_secume_wdumeadmin/UmeAdminApp

Login to Config tool and activate SAP* User and login to UME Tool to change your default password.

Hi Deepu

If you can log in with the same user /pwd to system info and visual admin.That means ur user is not logged.

Please deploy umeadmin.sca and your problem will be solved.

HI all

We had solved the problem. When we tried the SAP* it also didnt work. We had changed the client ID of J2ee engine from default 000 to some other value. But when we reverted back to 000, the problem was solved.
