Is it possible to Change class and characteristics of technical objects once assigned?

If by mistake classes and characteristics are assigned of an technical object( basically for equipment) wrong, then Is it possible to Change class and characteristics of technical objects once assigned?

1. Go into the equipment master via IE02
2. Then click CLASS OVERVIEW button to enter the classification sceen
3. Select the class(es) you want to delete and press the DELETE button
4. Return back to the main equipment screen
5. Save
