Hi Rohit,

Only the administrator has the authorization to do this.

Once you attach the iview to the role and to the user. you cannot preview the iview. It will be displayed.

So the security is provided through roles.

Only those users who have the roles can view the iview. Otherwise they cannot view it.

Security is provided in the following ways

    User Authentication

    Single Sign On

    Authorization

    User Mapping

    Secure communication (SSL) ( https)

    Regards

    Arun

      Hi Rohit,

Aneway you can assign points to people you have helped out to solve the problem and give you some more clarity on that.

Its a good practice to reward people with points and close the thread if it resolved

so that others can be benefit to that.

    Hi Rohit,

You can assign the necessary persmissions to the folder where the iview is placed or the iview itself.

    Goto System Adminstration->Permissions->Portal Permission->Portal Content

and then right click any folder/iview/page and you will get the permissions for it.

You can change the permissions accordingly by assigning the role you want.

    Hope it helps !!

    Regards,

    Abhishek.

I have also same query but something different than this.

I have created one link in detail navigation. If anonymous user will login then dont allow to open iview and also give some message like "you are not authorised user for viewing this iview. Only user those who haved logged in are allowed to open iview.
