Background job

Hello,

I am trying to schedule 2 client copies with one copy scheduled as "After Job" i.e one is the successor job and the other is the predecessor. The issue I face is that predecessor job gets scheduled as periodic job but the successor job does not get scheduled as periodic job.

Hi, it is nothing but obvious that second job will run only afer first job completes.

Then it is not necessary to schedule it as periodic job.

you cannot schedule a job dependent job as periodic job

condition is once first completed to start the second job

once it completed the entry in TBTCS and TBTCT will be removed

only the jobs which have entry as periodic job will remain in these tables

Hi Vijayalakshmi,

Jobs scheduled to start when a preceding job completes cannot be specified as "Periodic jobs".

If you set that option like the second job should run only after completion of first one then it is not possible to schedule the second job as periodic
