Hi ,
In LO extraction , I filled set up tables , Then came to LBWE and maintained job control . When i change update mode to Qued delta From V3 serialised it is showing following error
<i><b>Change of update mode not possible due to open V3 update -> Long text
Message no. MCEX160</b></i>
Diagnosis
You are not allowed to change the update mode for application 11 from V3 to another method. This is because there are still V3 update entries for update module MCEX_UPDATE_11 that have not been processed yet.
Procedure
Start the V3 update using the "Job Control" function in the customizing cockpit (transaction LBWE) or delete the update entries that are already incorrect. You can find these in the Update Overview.

Make sure that there are no entries in SM13 in <b>all Clients</b> of your R/3 system.

Hi ,
LBWQ , SM13 Is Empty .
Used LBWG and deleted 11 appl.comp
Deleted Data source in RSA7.
RSA3 shows 0 record .
Stilll the same error is showing when update mode is chaged .
Kindly assist me to solve this issue

Hmm... on second thought I will need to enhance that note. It is also applicable for message MCEX 160. The reason are inconsistencies in the update tables (VBMOD records without the proper VBHDR record).
This can lead to MCEX 140 if you try to change an extract structure (see the note), but it also can lead to MCEX 160, if you try to change the update mode.

The steps which u done are perfect it should work out.
Anyways there might be some problem restart the system and try once.
And i want to know which version you are using.
As your saying that its a not allowing to V3 serialized delta , and ur getting this option still?
Because fot this application component we will have only 3 update modes; Direct,Queued,and unserialzed v3 deltas only.

The error msg itself saying that there are data in update tables ... just check it out in SM13 delete and the data.. and check the same in LBWQ and empty the queue..
Then delete the set up tables of application component 11 and then fill it up...

Make sure there are no entries in SM13. If there are entries, schedule a V3 job to run immediately and empty the queue. Try changing the update mode now.
