Need to change the size and bold the last 4 characters of a bound text field on an adobe form

I have researched many different ways from Java script to formcalc but nothing seems to be working. I have a 10 character field on an Adobe form. It is defined as a rich text field and it is bound to a variable being passed thru my adobe interface.

My requirement is for the field I need to increase the font size and make the last 4 characters of the field bold. The field is and will always be a 10 character field. I would prefer not to break the field up into 2 different fields as that can lead to spacing issues between numbers versus letters when printing the form.

Any help or ideas anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

Hi!

did you try to change your rich text field to Text, and set floating fields into it? Please check the following link: http://www.saptechnical.com/Tutorials/AdobeForms/Floating/Index.htm
