Hello everyone. I am trying to connect a networked SQL database to Crystal Reports for a custom report. I just can't figure out how to go about it. I'm not sure which option under Database Expert I am supposed to use. Anyone know?
It depends on your release. In Database Expert, you have to select "Create new connection". Try to find OLE DB (ADO) and you should be able to find "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server".
Make sure SQL Server is accepting external connections. Check the following article in TechNet on how to enable it
