SAP R/3 Software

Hi Experts,

I know ABAP. I want to practice SAP at my home. I have SAP client software. I have High speed Internet. Can I install SAP server software from SDN. I know that we can connect server if we have client software. I dont know how can i do this. please help me doing this. doing this help will be appreciate.

I download SAP Netweaver software and installed into my system from SDN. It is working nice. Can I do the same for SAP R/3 software.

You can download the 2004s NW for ABAP and play in the abap workbench. Most developer type functionality is there.

Hi,

You cannot have SAP R/3 the same way. R/3 is not available for free. You may try to get IDES Version. And moreover you will require minumum of 1GB RAM for Netweaver. Is your NW working satisfactorily with good speed.

You said you have installed netweaver, so both client and server are your same system only. R/3 installation might be quite tricky. Feel free to revert back. Hope it helps. you can contact thru' my mail id.
