Move CEN to Solution Manager

Hi,

We are in the process configuring solution monitoring in our newly installed Solution Manager. We had been using a CEN (setup on our XI dev server) to monitor & trigger email alerts for our whole landscape. Our monitored satellite systems are using ccms agents.

We have a problem in tcode SOLUTION_MANAGER: we are unable to change the CEN destination in "Setup System Monitoring" interface from the old CEN.

The RFC's for collect & analyze were all created in SMSY and also we manually deregistered ccms agents with old CEN then registered with new CEN.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Stephen,

Setup System Monitoring is looking into two sources for its info.

One is the local RZ20, there you can find all systems which Solution Manager locally should monitor.

Second, , Solution Manager TA SMSY is asking all systems with SAP_BASIS 640 and higher which systems they are monitoring. So it is possible that SOLUTION_MANAGER is not looking in the local RZ20, it is looking into external RZ20s. To change this, you have to remove the system from the external RZ20 then select "read system data remote" from that system and it should work fine.

Maybe a silly question, but what do you mean with external RZ20?
