Year-End Phase III note 1002284

I am trying to implement Year-End Phase II note 1002284 to our ERP2005 system using transaction SNOTE. After downloading when I try to apply the note it gives me the message

"SAP Note does not contain valid correction instructions."

According to the note when I look at it in OSS, the zip files are there. How do I fix this problem and get this note applied to my system? Do I need to open an OSS note? That might take awhile because I'm currently only applying it to DEV so I can't really set the importance any higher than Medium.

Any help is appreciated.

Mary

Thank you Suresh. I did end up having my Basis guy download the files and apply the transports. It's just strange I couldn't do it through SNOTE.

Did you download both the SYST.zip & CUST.zip files.. as per the instructions on the Note, you should first install the SYST.zip & then go for the CUST.zip. I would suggest you to take the help of your BASIS resource to implement this note.. the changes are HR Support Pack related that are generally applied to the system by the BASIS folks..

Usually when you download a note in SNOTE it brings in everything it is supposed to. Is there something different I need to do for this note?

Support Packs are usually IMPORTed using the Tcode SPAM.. again this is a BASI task..

Right. Support Pack 12 (the one this note is in) is not out yet. My users have decided that they do not want to apply the entire pack because it comes out too late, just this note like we did for the Phase II note (985866). The Phase II note went in with no problems.

I don't think I've ever had a problem implementing a note like this before. It's weird.

then the only option is to open a customer message in OSS & seek SAP's clarification..
