Hi Rani,

as far as I do understand this is the same product certified under the name IBM Tivoli Directory Server. In this case it is even certified and supported.

Have a look at this <a href="/people/ingo.dressler/blog/2005/08/10/ume-configuration-for-use-with-ibm-tivoli-directory-server for further information.

Hi Patrick,

Thanks a lot for your useful blog. This is enough to proceed further. As I mentioned in my other post "Is it possible migrate portal users(UME) into this IBM directory server without resetting thier Passwords".

It is technically possible as wolfgang mentioned with some technique,to whom Should i consult for this in my department.Do you have any link by chance which describe this.

Hi Rani,

no, I do not know of any direct migration tool for the passwords. Most likley you will have to export them directly from the db even, as I'm not aware of any export function also exporting the password. At least this way it is documented in the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/86/85a1e83de97b46bc298edc3b218ad4/frameset.htm">help pages</a>.
