Hi,

I need to deploy tomcat on one Server1 and SIA and CMS on server2.

I have read in web deployment guide that we need to create wdeploy, webapps,InstallData files in server1 and copy the files from server2.

Is this better way to acheive this during fresh installation.

current Environment BI 4.1 sp4 on windows server 2008,Tomcat 7

Easiest way to do this is using the BI platform installer on both servers and do a full installation on the one where you want the SIA and CMS (including Tomcat, but you can change the service to manual after).

On the server where Tomcat needs to be you should install only the WebTier. Now the webapps will be deployed automatically and it will be easy to install updates later.
