BEX BW7 patch 10_1000 Not formatting amounts

I have rolled out the 2004s tools to some of our developers working on a BW7 project here at UBS. I've deployed Compilation 5 with the BW patches 3.5 patch 10 and BW7 patch 903. Patch 903 had some install problems so I installed patch 1000, which didn't fix the problems but I installed fixes as recommended by OSS Note 946481.

They have started editing some big queries, originally designed in a 3.x Query Designer, in the 2004s QD but we are encountering show stopping problems with the designer and when running the queries in 2004s Bex.

The main problem with the designer is when we try to move an object out of Free Characteristics into rows, for instance, the move eventualy works but all our free characteristics disappear. This happens when we try to move rows to free characteristics as well. We've got round this by moving back into dimensions and then into rows or free characteristics.

In Bex, we find that the key figures are formatted inconsistently. The screen shots below show the difference between a 3.x Bex output and a 2004s Bex output for the same query.

This is extremely worrying for us as we're on a critical path and re-building all our queries in 3.x Query Designer would severely impact our project.

Has anyone else seen these errors? Is it possible that my installation has not worked correctly? sapbexc checks come back with no red files.
