Configuring SAP GUI for HTML / Kerberos-based SSO from Apple Mac to back-end ABAP system

We have a requirement for users with an Apple Mac (running Mac OS Sierra 10.12 and Safari Version 10) to use SAP GUI for HTML in order to access backend S4HANA systems with SSO configured. They are already accessing the system using this method, with the exception of SSO being configured. I have been unable to find any documentation on what steps are needed to configure SSO in my scenario. Any help appreciated.

Dear Sean,

I haven't done this by myself yet, at least not for SPNEGO (Kerberos) browser based SSO, but for Kerberos and X.509 from Mac to SAP GUI for Java and X.509 browser based SSO to SAP web services.

At the end, you will need to:

- Safari on Max OS supports SPNEGO with Kerberos as an authentication mechanism if Mac OS is joined to AD

- computer doing SSO must be domain-joined and logged in by a domain users

- configure your S4HANA (ABAP) with SPNEGO

- Setup user mapping in SU01

Good luck!
