Leading Zeros issue in Articles with Internal Number Assignment

Dear All,

I have an issue with the Article Leading Zeros, The Article Number Range is 8 Characters with an internal Number Assignment .

The Articles were uploaded on the system and whenever the user tries to search with the article code in MM43 or in Table MARA without the leading zeros, the following message appears

" The Article 40001402 does not exist or is not activate"

the user must add the 10 missing leading zeros so this error message disappears.

So I need to know the reason behind this behavior, noting that the number range acted normally on the DEV Server.

Many Thanks,

Aya Raafat

If this error did not occur when you created a material manually then a serious error must have been made with the load.

    Please go to SE16N ,

    enter MARA

click the icon for personal settings,

set the box active in front of "output without conversion exit"

execute without limitation and compare material numbers from the load with one which was created manually. I think they must be different.

If not, then I doubt it has anything to do with the load and you would get the same errors with manual created materials.

Unfortunately there have been many OSS notes with program fixes, especially in a HANA environment, since you environment is not known you best search for the OSS notes with the key "OMSL"
