Reporting on attr.of 0MATERIAL and 0MAT_PLANT + Trans. data in one report

Dear all,

I have an issue here with a very simple requirement:

I have cube that contains both infoobjects 0MATERIAL and 0MAT_PLANT as well as some Key-Figures KF1 and KF2.

I want to report now on attributes from 0MATERIALand 0MAT_PLANT together with my KPIs

0MATERIAL ATTR1 ATTR2 0MAT_PLANT ATTR3 ATTR4 KPI1 KPI2

If I set the display option of 0MAT_PLANT to "no display" and filter on the site for 0MAT_PLANT, I get the desired result:

0MATERIAL ATTR1 ATTR2 ATTR3 ATTR4 KPI1 KPI2

Unfortunately I only can see the lines, for which I have data in the cube, but I want now to enlarge the report to show all(!) 0MATERIALS with the corresponding attributes (ATTR1 - ATTR4) for which I have masterdata.

How can I do so?

I already tried to add both infoobjects again to my mutliprovider and to use the constant selection filter with the option "Display values not posted", but the result was always something like

0MATERIAL1 ATTR1 ATTR2 0MAT_PLANT1 ATTR3 ATTR4

0MATERIAL1 ATTR1 ATTR2 0MAT_PLANT2 ATTR3 ATTR4

0MATERIAL1 ATTR1 ATTR2 0MAT_PLANT3 ATTR3 ATTR4

0MATERIAL2 ATTR1 ATTR2 0MAT_PLANT1 ATTR3 ATTR4

0MATERIAL2 ATTR1 ATTR2 0MAT_PLANT2 ATTR3 ATTR4

0MATERIAL2 ATTR1 ATTR2 0MAT_PLANT3 ATTR3 ATTR4

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Andreas

Hi,

When you build a report on a Cube the Objective is to See the data that is in a Cube and not see something which is not in it.

If you need to display Master Data +Attributes , you could have them as a Infoprovider and you could build bex query on them.

You could also do a Infoset between 0MATERIAL and 0MAT_PLANT, and report on them.

Hi Andreas,

if you have translated you 0MATERIAL into an InfoProvider you probably have in Key Figures of your MultiProvider also Number of Records, introducing this Key Figure in your query you must have all Materials in your query. If you do not obtain this result you can try with an ODS with all Materials and the same Key Figure in the query.

If you do not obtain nothing it is related to Variables Selctions and Filters in your query that are related to Cubes data. To solve this problem you must introduce all these selections and filters in Restricted Key Figures for the KF of the Cubes. Number of Records will be a Restricted Key Figure based on ODS. In Restricted Key Figures you will then also introduce you Constant Selection.

Ciao.
