Difference between Target Mapping "SAPUI5 Fiori App" versus "Other SAP Fiori App"

Hi,

I'm using /UI2/FLPD_CONF to create our launchpad. I was just wondering what is the difference if I use Source of Navigation Target as "SAPUI5 Fiori App" versus using "Other SAP FIORI App."

I have used both before and I only know that when using "Other SAP FIORI App" as a Navigation Target you have to create Launchpad roles via LPD_CUST. But since we are using /UI2/FLPD_CONF, is it still needed to choose "Other SAP Fiori App" as target? What is the best practice for this?

For all the UI5 apps with a Component.js, you can use "SAPUI5 Fiori App". (Suggested way as well)

"Other SAP Fiori App" can open not only UI5 apps, but GUI for HTML/WD apps as well. As you rightly noted, you would require LPD_CUST configurations for that.
