Duplicate Posting

Hi,

I have a new requirement between POS-XI-SAP system.

The case is when transactional data is posted in XI it creates IDOCS in SAP. Now if by mistake if the same data is posted again it creates duplicate IDOCS as new IDOCS.As a result we get duplicate entries in the table . Is there any possibility in XI to rectify this problem.

If not can this be done in ABAP?

This is Urgent.

You need to handle this in the SAP side. I hope some exists shud help in avoiding posting duplicates.

Hi Saras,

Practically this needs to be handled in the SAP side...and the source system

For Master data this will be taken care of .. for instance the same vendor can not be created twice...

For transactional data there has to be a check on the Source side... eg. no one should create PO twice.. as for the same PO the source will not allow to post two PO with the same number twice...
