Result and Individual Value for 0HDCNT_LAST

Hi,

I need help regarding a formula. When running a HR headcount report, I get an Overall result correct for 0HDCNT_LAST when I run the report based on Functional Group and the Employee,

For Example For Functional Group Sales if they are 100 employees for month of Jan 2006.

Then in my detail report I get the result Value as 100 for the headcount.

If I remove the Employee from the Rows and run the same report different value in the headcount.

I Want to create a report based on functional group wise for the headcount.

It will be great if someone can help me out.

Regards,

Tony

It Seems that you are loading total headcount for every employee record.

Wht you can try is doing an Exception Aggregation with Respect to 0Employee on the Headcount Key Figure.

This should get you the value, provided you also use a Month in your report

Hi Jasprit,

I want to know the functionality of number of employees field.

Will this field take into effect the number of leavers and number of entries fields which are present in the cube into account and give the net number of employees for any calonder month.

my query is to find the number of employees at end of any month.

Hi,

I have provided a solution :

In the Update Rules Load Value of 1 to the Key Fig 0HDCNT_LAST . This Key Figure should be of the Type of Summation. Use it in the Query.

If you have added the actual headcount to every record of employees then this will show the headcount when you have 0EMPLOYEE in your report but as soon as you remove this. This will Show the Headcount as Headcount * Headcount. Which will not work

Hi,

Is there anyway getting the headcount value in the report without using the Employee in the report.

Hi,

0HR_PA_0 is the Employee Data and not HeadCount. This datasource delivers 1 record for Every Employee No in the Month.

You can only get a headcount if you are able to Count the No of employee(records loaded) in the month. Ideally what you should have done is loaded a Value of 1 to the Key Fig 0HDCNT_LAST and then cumulate this when you run the query. But it seems that you have added the Actual HEad count value , which shows the correct value then u have Employee in the report, but gives a wrong value if you remove employee.

Jasprit,

You are correct. I am using the Employee Data to find the headcount.

As you mentioned I am getting the correct value of the HeadCount (Total of 0HDCNT_LAST) if the Employee in the report. If I remove the Employee from the report then it is showing wrong data.

Hi Jasprit,

I am loading the headcount (0HR_PA_0) to Actions & Headcount cube. As a part of load I have used all the standard fields of the cube. Apart from that I have populated the functional group value from Employee-Org Masterdata. As this is an time dependent.

0HDCNT_LAST is an non-Cumulative key figure in the cube which is get populated from the 0HR_PA_0.

I required a headcount report by functional group. So I have pulled 0HDCNT_LAST & Period into the Columns and Functional Group into Rows.

When I run the report for headcount by function group it is showing very less value. But if run the same report by including the Employee and the functional group in the rows then it is showing the correct headcount in the result.

I am not sure where I am missing.

Tony
