The status of "QUERY_VIEW_DATA_PROVIDER" "DP_1" may only change during comm

We are getting this error message when trying to run a query over the portal.

When I run the query from a web browser it works with the URL but when I try and exceute the query from the portal I get the error message below

The status of "QUERY_VIEW_DATA_PROVIDER" "DP_1" may only change during command processing

Any help will be rewarded.
