Hi Arun

I am facing the same problem while installing ECC 6.0. When you restarted the installation. did you have to go through all the phases? My "Import ABAP" phase took three full days to finish, and I wonder if I should press on harder to find a solution.

Thanks for any help

Hari

Mate can you furnish your details of what kind of installation u r doing, is it MSCS or general single installation.

Please open another thread as this one is closed.

oops sorry the issue is still open

I had to do a central instance phase again. so i ran the central instance phase again and at the time of DDIC asking PWD you have to login to the SAP with SAP* and its default PWD (06071992) and go to Su01 and reset the password for DDIC to its default PWD (19920706) and save it and log out. Come back to the installation and specify the same password wht you enter recently and the installation from there is cake walk

Let me know if am not clear

Cheers

Arun

Hi Everyone,

The error is related to Kernel, Just get rid of all this and try updating the kernel to the latest one.

The db error is not seen again at the step where the installation was stopped.

Also, this error is at the step of updtaing sapview.tsk when you use wrong kernel & this get conflicted to the DB which is of not the version to be. So simple if your DBload step is in sucess & kernel is outdated sync to the lates one.

Then reatart the Sapmmc, login with SAP*- 06071992 & DDIC - 19920706, hope u know the rest:>

Check the DDIC, and SAP* users Lock status, if it is locked already, then unlock it and try.

Again if you face the same problem, unlock the users, set the password to your master password, then change the user type to "system". and try your installation.

After the installation change the user type back to dialog.

If you are not yet completed the installation, you may face a problem to login to the system, for this delete the row corresponds to "sap*/Client 000" entry at the Database level - in Table - usr02.

then loging to the system with sap/pass and create one user for you, and login with that user and do everything you need, even creating sap user.

I deleted the user SAP* and DDIC from DB level and now i see after restarting the service and DB again the users are not created and the installation is not completing. Please suggest is there any way to create the SAP* or DDIC from DB level. I cant afford installing the full installation again from first as its a cluster based installation

Arun,

after deleting user sap*, password will be PASS.

Why dont you try to login with SAP*/PASS and reset the password / create the user ddic?

It's been a while since I have installed ECC, but doesn't it give you an option to change the DDIC passphrase during installation?

Hello Arun,

Please use the default DDIC password 19920706.
