SAP hana Cloud Platform Database instance will be deleted in 14 days

Hello Experts,

My apologies if the question has already been asked.

I am new to SAP HANA and Internet of things. I am working on a thesis topic for which i need access to HANA database instance. I am using SAP cloud platform trial edition, after having configured an instance, I see a notification that the instance will be deleted in the next 14 days.

Since my thesis will take around 3-4 months, is there a way to increase this 14 days limit without having any license cost for trial edition for demo purpose?

Hello Ali,

Your SCP HANA instance gets stopped after a certain threshold of inactivity. Then, if you do not start it again, it gets deleted after 14 days. Therefore, to prevent it from being deleted, please start it before the deadline passes. This way I have been running my SCP HANA instance for about half a year now.

Hi Frank,

My HANA instance on the cloud platform is running. But the SYTEM password that was initially set up seems to have expired or no longer valid.
This is affecting the HANA studio system I have added. Also the Live connections I build on Analytic cloud seems to fail.
How did it get expire. This morning I was able to login but within an hour the authentication is failing.

Please suggest.

Hi Frank,

I could not restart the database for trail account. Hence it is deleted. Now i have lost all the data , schemas, tables views everything as Database deleted. Could you please let me know how can i get back the database.

Its urgency that i require that db where i have vast amount of data in that.

I am currently facing the same issue, did this get fixed?

Was the database reactivated or was it deleted permanently?
