We are using WCM enhanced model on S4 1610.
Also using work manage 6.4 for mobility.
Please confirm if work order execution on work manager can be restricted in absence of approvals.
When you stated if Work Manager can be restricted, do you mean not able to be accessible at all? Like you cannot click it or it does not appear on the device because you do not have approval via your job role or user role? Also WCM is Web Content Management or Work Clearance Management?
If that is the case then the usage of the Work Manager is based on authority stated in the users SU01 transaction parameter. This does not hide the application similar to Fiori Landscape (or Launch Pad) but it prevents the user from actually transmitting to the ERP backend. You may try third party or MDM solution to prevent the Workorder application to show up based on your user role.
If disabling the Workorder functionality is needed there are Agentry customization ways that one can do like creating a screen to check on one's item to disable the main screen or you can create transmit action steps restriction to check on some items to prevent the transmit or to prevent the action via validation rules. There are different ways to restrict ones use of the Work Manager application.
But we are not sure if this is what you mean by restricting the Workorder Execution from your statement above.
Please clarify so that the community can assist.
