Hi,
I´m using CCMSPING to monitor (or rather try to) the availbility of my SAP systems. It is installed at the Server of our Solution Manager and is supposed to poll the other systems remotely. I´m only using one CCMSPING-Agent.
It works great with my BW-Instances, for example.
1.
I added a SCM 5.0 SR1 System to the pool of monitored systems. Test-Ping works, Instance exists in configuration (when extracting its tree).
-> Now I shut the instance down (Status GREY in SAPMMC)
My "Instance Availability"-MTE still shows 100%. It should nearly be 0% by now.
Test ping fails now with message "communication error: cannot access message server", as I expected it to happen (correct).
MTE Data Supplier beneath CCMS Selfmonitoring says:
CCMSPING: For system SID M-Server type ABAP return message Msg-Srv: Service unknown or error</b>
tables CSMNSDIC, CSMSYSAS and ALAVLPING checked, correct entries exist.
2.
Another weird fact is, only my BW-Dialog instances are monitored correctly. Their MTEs get the status RED, while the central instance keeps its 100%
I guess it´s the same problem like '1.'
Where do I start finding the cause for this behaviour?
Thanks for your replys.
Regards
Dom
