How can I display extension field for different user?

Hi experts,

In BYD system, adapt Mode.

I add a extension field "KWXX" at material screen "Material - General Information", now my objective is: user A can display the field "KWXX", and user B can't display the field "KWXX".

user A and user B can't adapt the screen.

Further question: When I use the UI Switch, how can I create the relation with the "KWXX", is it in the Roles?

Within my knowledge, the "KWXX" is extension field using the KUT, not for the BO, it cann't display at the screen.

I think what Benny means is that the administrator creates extension field "KWXX", and wants user A to be able to see the field in the UI, whereas user B cannot see the field in the UI. Neither user A nor user B has access to adaptation mode if I understand correctly.

For that, I think a "UI Switch" needs to be defined on extension field KWXX in the Application Studio, and then that UI Switch can be assigned to the relevant Business Roles for the users (users A and B would need to be assigned different Roles, where the role for user B excludes access to the extension field.

Dear Benny,

Once you create the extension field and save it, you will have to choose the Publish button. You will see it in the screen shot which you have provided. Once you have published the extension field, you can choose to make the extension field visible in any layout of the screen. This field will be visible for other users as well after you publish the extension field. They can also choose to make the field visible or not visible via personalizing the screen.
