Expired batches should show while doing GR for Finished good.

Hello Team,

I am having an issue with Batch determination, I am getting expired Batches also while doing confirmation of Finished goods.I don't want to see the expired Batches during GI of the components.

For example: A-Finished Material, B-Raw material for A product.

When i do GR for A by MFBF, B will GI. So during GI of B it will show the expired Batches also. here it should show or pick quantity from valid batches only.

I have attached screen shots also. Please let me know if any additional info is needed.

In SCN you will find many threads related to this issue. My suggestion is to go through with SAP KBA, it explains everything how to exclude the expired batches from batch determination.

Or another workaround may be to use batch status management with Quality Management. Inspection lot 09, recurring inspection of Batches

. You have to activate Batch status management in customization OCHA. SPRO -> Logistics General -> Batch management -> Batch Status Management

You have to use deadline monitoring of batches concept T code QA07, use QA07 to be scheduled night run background job in SM36 to post the stock from unrestricted to Restricted Status. There are radio buttons in QA07 from where you can achieve the default settings.

(Set Indicator =Block batch at lot creation)

Now, sap has given standard characteristics LOBM_ZUSTD( Batch status Restricted or Unrestricted). Create a class in CL02 and add characteristics LOBM_ZUSTD. Since you are in REM, I believe while confirmation in MFBF, consumption of Components will be triggered with 261 movement type and hence you need to use MBC1 batch search strategy, assign the class, add characteristics marked as LOBM_ZUSDT= Initial( Not restricted).In this way, you can achieve your requirement. Please test and confirm back to us.
