Hi Crossmen,

  1. Before upgrading you need to clean up the Queues.
    Check for the deltas loads are extracting the data , check all the Transformations, DTPs, IPS are active, Check for the MPs, Run few BEx queries and test the output
  2. Run report RSUPGRCHECK to locate any inactive objects
  3. Reschedule the PC and Execute Process chains and check if the delta and full loads are working fine.
  4. After upgrade process buffer has to clear.
  5. Activate the Myself source system and replicate all data sources Reactivate the BI source system.
    Also replicate all the source system data sources.
  6. Activate all Transfer structures and Update rules

Please Check the below link which provides more in details after the upgrade .( The upgrade doc below referes to BI7.0, but most of the points are same for BW7.3 upgrade as well.)

Hi;

One of the assumptions is there will be a copy of BW PRD to BW QAS else it will be very tricky to test.

Although this is applicable for upgrade it also can be use for your purpose:

Usually, after the database copy, check if the source systems have the correct mapping and are active. Execute the process chains to guarantee that everything is working fine.

Hi

After completing BDLS activity in your QAS R/3 system , restore the source system connection for R/3 in QAS BW system and validate your existing scenarios .

Thank You
