Best Practice PO 7.4 only java - adapters

We are using PO 7.4 only java and like know the best practice (performance , security) to use adapters for connection to ECC. The question is: SOAP XI 3.0 or RFC.

We found many text for this question but using PI dual stack.

Hi Marcelo,

performance of XI protocol is better than RFC. I would also recommend using the XI protocol as the error handling is superior.

Security is not usually an issue for SAP <-> SAP communication as this is usually within the customer network. If you have to secure the connection then RFC can be secured by SNC. XI can be secured by https, client cert authentication, and web servicesl security.
