Hi Experts,
I try to update the system using SUM tool in the environment:
Windows Server 2012 and Sybase ASE 16.0.02.05
I got this error in the PREP_INIT/DBQUERY_PRE phase:
I attached the files log from ..SUM\abap\log
Any Idea?
Thanks
Regards
M.
Hi all,
I solved the problem with this workaround:
In the directory X:\usr\sap\<SID>\SUM\Abap\bin_749 I have renamed the file dbsybslib.dll in dbsybslib.dll.OLD and then I have copied the same file from the directory X:\usr\sap\<SID>\SUM\Abap\exe.
After that the problem is solved.
Bye
Moreno

Hi all,
This note 2463474 version 3, have no resolution to the issue, at least for Windows Server. The workaround Solution is not applicable to Windows Systems:
The note say:
"Go to SMP -> Support Packages and Patches -> By Category -> Additional Components -> SAP KERNEL -> SAP KERNEL 64 BIT UNICODE -> SAP KERNEL 7.49 64-BIT UNICODE -> SAP ASE
2.) Download Stack Kernel Archive (e.g for Linux SAPEXEDB_200-70001668.SAR) dependent on your OS
3.) Unsar the archive in a temporary folder and copy the dbsl only to <SUMDIR>\abap\bin_749
4.) Make sure that the file is owned by <sid>adm
5.) Restart SUM"
the result is the same result of the root cause.
But for Windows don`t exist dbsl file inside Stack Kernel Archive for Windows.
This resolution/note is not working properly for Windows.
We are waiting a real resulution of it.

Bruno Ricciardi

Does anyone have the solution for this please? I've checked the SUM SP19 and ASE specific note. And I've tried switching off
net password encryption reqd
