S/4 HANA Embedded Analytics and Design Studio

Hi,

I understand there are two versions of Design Studio, one as a standalone app and the other as a Fiori app. Is the Fiori app Design Studio a part of S/4 HANA or does it require a BusinessObjects license?

Hi Christoffer,

I can't speak officially on this but it is my understanding that the embedded "Fiori app Design Studio" is part of S/4 HANA and independent of the BusinessObjects BI platform, as such not requiring a BusinessObjects license.

Keep in mind that the embedded Design Studio application you refer to is not the full-blown Design Studio Desktop IDE. It is basically a query browser together with a series of pre-built Design Studio analytical apps that cannot be modified by the customer.

For more specific licensing questions you should contact your SAP account manager.
