URL iView for nonSAP WebApplication - sideString Error only for enduser

Hello Experts,

we have a AngularJS-WebApplication running. I want to embedded this into the SAP-Portal. For this I take an URL-iView. I put the iView in a role and assigned it to two users. An enduser (only this role) and an administrator (superadmin-role + this role).

For the administrator there is no problem. The application is rendered in the AJAX-Framework as well as in the Fiori-Launchpad.

But for the enduser I get the exception:

com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.PortalRuntimeException: Can't read the prameter 'siteString' from the PCD.

This looks like a permission problem and I check the permissions of the iView and the HTTP-System twice. Authenticated users are marked as "End User". Has anybody another idea?

Maybe I have to add an action to the special role, but for which I should look?

I see the SAP-Note 2241122 - 'siteString' runtime error when using URL iViews, which say URL-iViews are only for simple Content. Maybe our WebApplication is not simple enough, but for the administrator is functional. Which other iView-Template can i use?

Thanks for reply's.

Thomas

Hi,

The URL iViews are designed to display simple content . They are not suitable for rendering complex content such as SAP applications.

Please use a more appropriate iView template. Application Integration iViews should be used for SAP applications.

You can refer the SAP Note "2241122 - 'siteString' runtime error when using URL iViews" which describe the similar issue.

Hello Dharmendra,

yes I know this and read the SAP Note as well and as I said in my question allready. The question is, we don't want integrate a SAP application. It is a self developed application. Which one is a possible iView. I could not find one cause they all are specalized for different SAP application but not for non SAP web applications.

Do you have an idea, which one can be suitable?
