DTP Error at Write step

Hi ,

Could any one of you please explain the reason for the following error while loading a DTP?

<b><i>Dump: ABAP/4 processor: OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED

Exceptions in Substep: Load and Generation (Where Necessary) of Write Program</i></b>

We used to get this error when we do a transport to the 2004 s system. It was a bug in the one of the programs of activation of DTP.

I think SAP has provided a OSS note for that and as a part of SP09 I heard that the above issue has been taken care of!!

In my case, my transports are already in production 4 months back, we applied the OSS note and the SP09 . I never got the above error until yesterday.

To fix this error, I just did a reload and it worked out well.

Could any one of you please help me to analyze the cause of that issue?

    I guess you are in best shape its an Production issue ,log OSS to SAP with highest priority and you should get a call in an hour.

    Meantime is it giving you any detailed error message numbers???would help in further investigation..

    Hi Murthy,

    Sounds like a transport could have gone in PRD or an OSS note. Check your STMS queue, has anyone changed a DTP, or done some manual config in PRD? You are right it's a pain to investigate this issue, we used to have it all the time. All we did was to activate from top down and recreate the DTP.

      Hey Pom,

      We havent done any transports, it was a regular batch load. three months back when we transported the stuff to prod we had the same issue, and we fixed it by activating the cube, transformations and DTP.

      This time it seems to be a different reason for the DTP error

      Hey Raju,

      One best solution is to upgrade the support package to SP09. To correct the error follow the below procedure.

      1. Activate the Cube/DSO (Eventhough the cube is in Active mode)

      2. Activate the Transformations

      3. Activate the DTP

      then try to reload, it should fix the issue.
