Usually this is done in conjunction with consulting with your BASIS person and determining the methods for doing emails at the stie. It's not just a QM thing. In fact, it's pretty much not a QM thing at all. Most places have a prescribed printer that converts the printout to PDF and emails it, or has some other specific process for emailing things out of SAP.
There are many things that need to be emailed out of SAP, (invoices, shippng notices and confirmations, bills, orders, etc..). So most systems have a specific way of doing this. Most of these processes all use the same output processes used by SAP. It's kind of standard.
