automatic firming indicator updation for configurable material

hello SAP guru

I have a query when for configurable material in MD04 we edit planned order then in MD12 screen if press enter button or click on material number Firming indicator tick get updated.

MRP type for this material is PD and in SPRO MRP type Firming type is blank and Planning time fence is 0 , MRP is run through sales order as we work on MTO scenario. can you explain why firming tick get updated?

Hello

This is a standard system behavior. Whenever a planned order is manually changed, the firming indicator is automatically checked. Otherwise, the planned order may be changed or deleted by the next MRP run and your changes will be lost.
