When and how to use Reconstruction tab at the manage of ODS/Cube?

Once in a while someone here mentions to use reconstruct in the interface of manage of ODS/Cube, could someone here elaborate on in what case to use this and the step by step on how with an example?

Hi,

Reconstruction is useful to reupload the data from PSA to cube ,if there is any change in the update rules. So before re upload we need to delete the existing data from Data target.

If the request is not available in PSA , We can not do reconstruction.

You know we can manually load data from PSA to data target, why we would have to go through this Recontruction tab, this is an option v.s. the manual load from PSA?

Hi Kevin,

By using this option we can reconstruct the request from PSA to anyother data target as well, but when we manually do it from PSA we cannot update it to some other data target.

this is my understanding.

Could you give the details (step by step) on how to use the Reconstruct tab in manage of an ODS? For example if there is one error record in PSA which make one data request red in manage of an ODS, then what is the procedure to correct the error and reload the data in Reconstruct?
