DB6: Partitioning the DB

We are trying to partition the DB and create new data classes and tablespaces in DB6 for BW 3.5.

The note we are trying to implement is 546262.

Can anyone help me with this? I am new to DB2 and would appreciate any help, even the basics of partitioning.
