Dear Experts,
A WBS Element Settlement rule was created inadvertently due to a copy of rules from a parent WBS Element Settlement rule. When it was discovered that there were undesired settlements for a 3 year plan exercise, the user reversed it. Unfortunately, the settlement reversals were out of order and the Settlement Rule has a Last Used date of 016/2019. The user wants to end date it with period 16 of 2017 but gets the error below.
Message No. KD062
This distribution rule has already been used in a settlement performed in period 016 2019. This means you can only reset the "Valid to" period as far back as this period.
Reset the "Valid to" period to 016 2019 or a later period.
If you try to reset 2019 via CJ9E, it says "No data exists".
Any suggestions to clear/correct the Last Used date and allow the user to end date it for the fiscal year 2017?
Thank you,
Lisa
The issue is fixed. The user tried resettling just 2018 and reversing it. That set it back to last settled 016 2017 which allowed the rule to have the proper end date. We had tried resettling 2018-2020 and going back in the correct order; however, that did not work.

Hello Terence,
The date 2019 is not correct, it needs to be 2017. The end user first ran the settlement distribution for 2018, 2019, and 2020 for plan version 418. However, it was determined that they did not want that WBS Element to have a settlement distribution. They first reversed 2020. The next step was likely to reverse 2019 but they probably did not catch that the system put the test run check back on and it did not reverse. After that, they reversed 2018. At that point, it was noted that 2019 did not get reversed and it was reversed. Therefore, 2018-2020 have been reversed. They want to end date the settlement rule with 016 2017; however, it date is incorrectly stuck on 016 2019 due to the out of sequence reversals.
Thanks,
Lisa
