No applicable data found when running a query

After installing a part of the HR business content in BW (Personnel Administration) I loaded data by defining InfoPackages. I did not use the process chain facility.

On Infocube Headcount and Personnel Actions (0PA_C01) I defined a number of queries to test the data in the InfoCube. However, every time the message “No applicable data is found” appears.

I checked the contents of the InfoCube (Manage InfoCube in context menu in the InfoProvider tree and it gives me all green lights. Separate master data tables are ok and have data.

I also tried Tcode RSRVALT “Analysis of BW object”. On Tab “Others” the test “Status of the data in the Infocube” results in a yellow light and the message “Entry in RSMDATASTATE is initial although there is data in the Infocube 0PA_C01”.

What can I do next?

Hans

Did you use any filters in your query?

Try using the query without filters.

You can also check transactioncode RSRT.

Is your load checked as available for reporting? If there are any old loads that failed the data will be in the cube however not available for reporting.

Good luck

Sounds Basic ;however as a part of sanity check

in the manage tab of the cube even though the light is green for any ADDED records just beside the TRANSFERRED records tab,is it 0 or has any values.

Also delete the RED /YELLOW requests if they exist on the cube.

I am sure this is just fresh and installation and hence no agregates exist or else need to roll up the date in to aggregates as well.

If the records are transferred and not added ,check/debug the update rules.

Create new basic query without nay filters or restrictions or variables and then test it.

Hope it Helps

Problem was solved by deleting all entries of the data in the Cube (not just the red-ones) and loading the data in the cube again.

Problem was caused by jobs canceling during upload.

Thanks,

In RSA1 -> Cube -> Manage (Right Clk) -> Request Tab -> Request Status (Must be Green). Then Request For Reporting available will have an icon.

That enables the data to be received by BEx

In the Manage Screen for your infocube check the Request Status, whether it is available for Reporting , which will be indicated by a small query icon next to the request.

The request might be green, but if this icon is not there then you will not be able to see this data in the report. If this happens then go to the monitor for the request, and then check as to what has gone wrong.
