SAP integration with Avatax Tax system for US

Hi Experts,

We are integrating SAP with external Tax system called Avatax (by Avalara) for US.

We have two options:

1. Purchase certified connector like DMA or
2. Build own custom connector using standard .net based API called through PI/PO.

What would you suggest?

We are currently investigating the same options as there would obviously be more control and in-house knowledge (and also reduced recurring costs) when implementing our own connector in PI
